Having worked with individuals for many years and in various capacities has allowed me to develop an expertise in helping individuals set personal goals and reach their full potential. My purpose is to help you find your passion in life, and then to coach you in making a plan to live out your dreams.

In all of my coaching sessions , I am committed to the following skills: listening, questioning and gentle guiding. These aspects of coaching are valuable in terms of helping you to move forward in your personal life. Finding the best in you and fostering the development of your full potential are my priorities.

Personal coaching sessions are usually 45-60 minutes long. Blocks of 6 sessions are recommended, but they can be extended, depending on each individual’s situation. Sessions can be held in person or through phone conversations.

Career coaching is about exploring new choices and building up your self confidence to make the right decisions regarding your career and your life. If you are looking to change jobs, want to be more effective at work, or would like to improve your relationships with co-workers or superiors, I can help you consider sensible solutions.

Career Goals and Decisions

It is normal to feel uncertain a bout career choices and goals. Even the most successful professionals have times of uncertainty. Setting career goals involves clarifying what it is that you want in your career and how you wish to live your life. Even when you are clear about your needs, you may still benefit from the help of an experienced career coach to set your goals and explore the options available to you in order to make the right decisions. Together we will go through the steps to evaluate your objectives and create a plan to reach your full potential.

Work Relationships

Conflict in the workplace is common; however, negative relationships tend to drain you of energy that could otherwise be put to good use. Many issues arise in a work environment that can be addressed in coaching sessions. Do you have a full-on enemy in the workplace? Do you want to amend your relationships with co-workers, and/or perhaps improve some key relationships in order to help you get a promotion? Are you working with a challenging family member or spouse? Each of these scenarios bring up issues that I can help you resolve.

Office politics can hold you back but can also be used to your advantage. Career coaching sessions are usually 45-60 minutes long. Sessions are scheduled every two weeks or on a monthly basis, and can be held in person or over the phone, on an individual basis or in the form of teams.

Personal Training

Increase your fitness level though an individualized program. My approach involves:

  • Encouraging clients to have fun while adhering to a personal fitness program that suits their goals and increases their wellness level.
  • Helping people make changes in positive ways.
  • I update my skills by participating in fitness classes, yoga and weight training classes.

Experience

A strong passion for fitness over the last 20 years as well as an extensive career in Education has led me to the completion of the personal trainer certification in 2009. Since then, I have been delighted to work as a volunteer with all age groups, and more recently with seniors at the « Y » in NDG as part of the Rendez-vous seniors’ program.

In addition, I have completed part 1 of Paul Chek’s Holistic Lifestyle Coach training.

Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness

Over the last few years, I have spent a lot of time developing valuable skills with regard to health and wellness coaching. I can help you define and achieve your fitness goals. Becoming fit, designing a realistic program, eating better, or just feeling happier can be achieved with my professional assistance.

The unique program I offer combines mindfulness meditation with changes in eating patterns. By participating in a program that merges the practice of meditation techniques with the knowledge of recent developments in nutrition, you can safely and surely reach your goals in terms of your relationship with food.

Mindful eating involves the following:

  • Awareness of cues for hunger, be they emotional, social, or otherwise
  • Knowing what to eat, when to eat and when to stop eating
  • An appreciation of food, including the enjoyment of taste, the pleasure of cooking, and the nourishment of food

Diet plans tend to focus on restricting what you are allowed to eat, thereby creating a potential desire for more food. Mindfulness-based eating awareness, on the other hand, helps you to attend to your body’s needs, while recognizing the difference between biological requirements and emotionally-driven desires. Coaching sessions will help you become more conscientiously alert to your body’s hunger cues. You will begin to appreciate eating on a new level and savour the nourishing experience of eating well.

A three hour introductory workshop on mindfulness-based eating awareness is available, and further sessions of 1 1/2 hours are recommended. Sessions can be in a small group setting.

Training and Leadership Staff Development

Professional training is available for leadership roles such as managers and supervisors. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and learn important skills for clear communication, better administration, and effective problem solving in the workplace.

If your workplace is experiencing personnel changes that require staff training and development, a professional coach can help to identify the required skills, provide training of new employees, and smooth over the transition of an employee to a new position.

Coaching and mentoring helps staff to quickly acquire a keen aptitude that will add to their competence on the job, thereby relieving unnecessary stress and allowing the office staff to work together more efficiently.
