Career Goals and Decisions
It is normal to feel uncertain a bout career choices and goals. Even the most successful professionals have times of uncertainty. Setting career goals involves clarifying what it is that you want in your career and how you wish to live your life. Even when you are clear about your needs, you may still benefit from the help of an experienced career coach to set your goals and explore the options available to you in order to make the right decisions. Together we will go through the steps to evaluate your objectives and create a plan to reach your full potential.
Conflict in the workplace is common; however, negative relationships tend to drain you of energy that could otherwise be put to good use. Many issues arise in a work environment that can be addressed in coaching sessions. Do you have a full-on enemy in the workplace? Do you want to amend your relationships with co-workers, and/or perhaps improve some key relationships in order to help you get a promotion? Are you working with a challenging family member or spouse? Each of these scenarios bring up issues that I can help you resolve.
Office politics can hold you back but can also be used to your advantage. An experienced career coach can help you be more self-aware and to discover new options that might seem so obvious in hindsight. Sometimes it is important to take the time to stop for a minute and discuss the details that are often taken for granted on a day-day-basis.
Finding balance in your life is not as easy as it sounds. Stress is a common work-related issue that can be addressed with a career coach. Sometimes new leadership positions can pose greater challenges. Having someone who will listen, define the issue, and point out a person’s strengths in order to build on them can lead to greater success in attaining short and long term goals.
Having experience in management roles, leadership training and having acquired a lot of expertise on the subject over the years, I can help you define your leadership attributes, recognize your company’s mode of operation, and assist you in choosing a career path that fits your desired needs and lifestyle.
Career coaching sessions are usually 45-60 minutes long. Sessions are scheduled every two weeks or on a monthly basis, and can be held in person or over the phone, on an individual basis or in the form of teams.
